The guild met for our regular meeting Monday night, June 17th at the Senior Adult Center
in Benton. Sondra taught the 5:30 workshop and introduced four more blocks for the 1930's
block of the month.
Quite a few 12" blocks and hand made items were submitted for the
semi annual silent auction. As you can imagine, bidding was fierce.
Sadly, I was unable to win any of my bids!
Our special speaker was Shirley Miller who told us a little bit about herself and treated us to a trunk show of her quilts. Her first quilt was a cat-themed design which she created without a pattern. It was begun in 1987 and completed in 2001. All of her quilts reflect her personality with additional elements and bright, happy colors.

Cely completed two charity quilts.
Kelley painted a quilt block design on a canvas.
What fun to see all of this talent showcased at our guild meeting! Thanks to all who shared.
Until next time~~Gwen
