FIrst Wednesday

Sue G. was our gracious hostess for First Wednesday last week.  She invited us to her lovely cozy home and I arrived quite late.  Fortunately there was still a lot of yummy food left.

What a nice selection of tempting desserts!  Most of it was chocolate.  Yum!

Since I got there so late I didn't get a chance to photograph everyone's works in progress.  Shirley had been working on her Santa table runner which she started in our Saturday workshop.

Jean is hand quilting some new place mats.

Sue R. is making progress on her Woodland Creatures applique quilt.  Her little beaver now has teeth and eyes.  Before you know it he'll be chewing right through that piece of wood he's holding.

Judy had folded up her Friendship Circles quilt so I took the liberty to spread it out for a picture.  (She taught a class on this pattern in the Daytime Stitchers group a couple of months ago.)  She's made significant progress on her quilt since then.

Sue, our hostess, kindly let me wander around and take photos of the many projects she has completed and now decorate her home.

This is a t-shirt quilt she was working on for her son-in-law.

The previous homeowner had stenciled these frames on the kitchen wall and
Sue made good use of them.

We missed those of you who couldn't make it.  Hope to see you at our next gathering!
Until next time~~~Gwen
